348s are still weirdly cheap. Like this one will hopefully fetch good money, and they aren’t as cheap as the 308s that could be had for v6 Camry money during the recession, but I’ll never understand how these haven’t seriously come up in value. Not complaining, I still want to buy one someday and don’t want the cost to outrun my saving for it, but even on Bat they tend to sell for 38-65k, which seems like a steal to me! (And I know all about owning them and the associated maintenance/costs, have had one in the family for 25 years)

It’s tragic but also a blessing they are so under valued. I drove a 328 and a 355 and didn’t like either. Then looked at my 348 and knew it was the one. In person, the car is so beautiful and has much more presence than in pictures. Then I drove it and immediately knew it was the one. Is it fast? No. It’s a 30 year old car. Does it deliver the driving experience I dreamed of since I was a kid? Absolutely. The heavy controls and telepathic manual steering sold me. The feeling of the weight distribution changing as you feather the throttle mid corner is just a bonus. It’s the best “one with the car” feelings I've ever had. People who haven't driven one, or don't want the hard work of driving the car quickly, but then put down the car are strong voices, but I think people are finally seeing the light on these cars. Do they have their own sets of problems, yes, but at the end of the day, I'm always smiling when I park it back in the garage after a drive. Slow speeds with very tight corners aren't the best, but it's a fine trade off for how the car feels on most other nice roads.
